Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by its music. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a profession or a pastime, but for growth. She started writing her own songs. Alongside Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's advice that people ought not to aim to be famous through the songs she writes, but rather recognize the significance of their lives as well as their contribution to society. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. This was not known to her family members until she was fourteen. Aurora's success was never her goal. She just loves to write songs. To her music, it is the most effective way to express anything.
